Beirut, then Paris for university, then Dubai for work. I spent six years in regional marketing before this, so a conference dinner is familiar territory rather than a novelty.
Almost all of my bookings here are corporate. Awards evenings, client hospitality, the dinner on the last night of an exhibition week. I know the running order of these things and I know when the useful conversations happen.
I dress conservatively in public areas as a matter of course, not because I have been asked to. It is how I live here.
