Almaty originally, Dubai for the last five years. I came for a hospitality job and stayed because the work here suited me better than the winters did at home.
Exhibition season is when I am busiest. Conference dinners where half the room is visiting and nobody knows anyone, which is easier than it sounds if you are willing to make the first introduction.
Four languages, and the two useful ones in this city are Russian and English. I travel regularly across the region.
