I taught secondary school English for eight years before this and I still mark the occasional exam paper, which tells you something about my tolerance for tedium.
Weekends away are what I take most. Two nights up the coast, or a longer stretch somewhere with nothing scheduled. I am better at unplanned days than at ballrooms.
My Indonesian is conversational rather than fluent, but it is enough to make a trip through Java considerably easier.
